Christina Wills, DO

Dr. Wills received her undergraduate degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver and her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Family Practice Residency in Akron Ohio and Hinsdale Illinois and was a staff physician for the Army. Dr. Wills is Board Certified in Family Practice and joined Chickahominy family Practice in March 2010.

Margaret Mountcastle, DNP

Margaret received her B.S. from the University of Richmond and graduated with Honors from the Medical College of Virginia of Virginia Commonwealth University in 1997. She is also a member of the National Honor Society. In 1997 she took her Postgraduate at Old Dominion University to be certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner with the University of Alabama in 2012. Dr. Mountcastle has been with CFP since 1999.

Ms. Carter is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where she obtained a Bachelors in Biology Magna Cum Laude. She went on to earn a Masters in Public Health from VCU and a Masters of Science degree in Health Science/ Physician Assistant Studies from George Washington University. She joined FP in March 2013.

Michelle H. Thomas, PharmD

Michelle Herbert Thomas gained her pharmacy degree from the Medical College of Virginia School of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Doctorate, with highest honors, from the University of Kentucky. She completed her residency at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals. Michelle has helped develop and provide specialized pharmacist services such as immunizations, health screenings, medication checkups, and diabetes education. An Assistant Clinical Professor of pharmacy at the VCU College of Pharmacy, she has also played an active role in training residents, students, and other pharmacists to provide specialty services.

Dr. Michelle Thomas has served in various leadership roles including the Richmond Pharmacists Association, Virginia Pharmacists Association, and American Pharmacists Association and their Foundation. She is also an active member of the American Diabetes Association, American Association of Diabetes Educators, and their local chapters. She has been awarded the 2007 Eileen B. Stiff Local President’s Award, and the 2008 Distinguished Lecture Series Honoree at the Shenandoah School of Pharmacy.

Her prior experience was as a general surgery registered nurse and a case manager for a largehome health provider. She joined Chickahominy Family Physicians in March 2012.

John Kowalski, MD

John P. Kowalski, M.D. received his B.A. and M.D. degrees from the University of Virginia. He completed his residency in Virginia Beach, and he has practiced in the Richmond area since 1984. Dr. Kowalski is Board Certified in Family Practice. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the Southern Medical Association and the Medical Society of Virginia. He was elected to the Honorary Medical Society, Alpha Omega Alpha, while attending medical school. Dr. Sparrow joined the CFP group in 1988. He is Board Certified in Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice. Jessica Utt, PA-C

Jessica was born and raised in Chantilly, Virginia. She received her Bachelors of Health Science, Magna Cum Laude, from James Madison University. She received her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies degree, with honors, from George Washington University. Before joining New Market Medical Center in July 2010, Jessica practiced in neurosurgical intensive care at night and family medicine on days and weekends in Houston, Texas. In 2007, she began practicing family medicine in Portland, Oregon. Although she enjoyed living out west, family called her back to Virginia. She is now happy to be in Richmond building relationships with new patients and coworkers. Her interests include women’s health, management of diabetes, hypertension, obesity and pediatric/adolescent care.Jessica enjoys cooking, gardening and being active in the outdoors.

Margie is North Eastern Ohio.  She received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Bachelors in Biology from the University of Toledo.  She received her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies degree from the Medical University of Ohio (The University of Toledo Health Science).  Before joining New Market Medical Center in January 2012, Margie practiced in Family Medicine in Ohio.  Although she enjoyed living in Ohio, with her family, she moved to Virginia in 2011.   Margie enjoys cooking, gardening, reading and enjoying time with her family.
